Angelina Jolie and Jonny Lee Miller met on the set of the film “Hackers” in 1995, when they were both young adults. They played high school students, computer geeks who tried to stop the villain from theft of huge money.
Although after the photos they had no contact with them, fate made them met again, and the chemistry they created on the screen quickly moved to private life. Already a year after the premiere of “Hackers” they said the sacramental “yes”.
“Jonna and I never argued and we never hurt. I really wanted to be his wife. I really wanted to get involved” – she said years later.
They were a happy couple and – as the actress herself admitted – they did not argue. No wonder that the divorce they took in 1999 shocked fans. What was the reason for the breakdown of the relationship?
The Hollywood star admitted that her relationship with Jonny ended because of too young age and immaturity. Jolie was only 21 years old on her wedding day, her partner 24. Despite the turbulent past, the spouses remained in friendly relations. They always talked about themselves with sympathy. This year at the Santa Barbara festival, where she received the award, Angelina mentioned her ex -husband on the occasion of the movie “Hackers”.
“Amazing. It’s nice to see,” said Jolie in response after restoring the clip. “Actually funny, I don’t really watch my own movies, so I think I haven’t seen it since the premiere. But I have great relationships with Jonny. He and I have sons of the same age.”
The actress also once admitted that the decision to end the relationship with ionny was one of the worst in her life. The man helped her a lot during a hard process that she went through with his later partner – Brad Pitt. The relationship that once hailed “an ideal Hollywood” ended with a series of accusations and many years of disputes about property and childcare.
In 2021, Paparazzi caught Angelina Jolie when she visited Miller in his New York apartment. It was immediately after the actress did not receive the exclusive rights to care for children she was trying. Although the settlement with Brad Pitt was finally concluded at the end of 2024, Angelina did not hide that it was very difficult years.
