Pool or beach?
Every year during the holiday season, the same discussion returns, which often even leads to disputes between friends (and strangers – on the Internet): does an expensive trip to warm countries, during which almost all the time is spent on a sun lounger by the hotel pool, make sense? Critics say it’s a waste of money and shows ignorance. Lack or a small amount of sightseeing and getting to know the local culture, monuments or even the beach are, in their opinion, the height of senselessness and snobbery; lovers of this form of relaxation usually argue with free will and comfort.

Amanda: “I’m afraid of waves, I’m disgusted by sand. Let everyone do what they want”

– I’ve heard such accusations many times, so now I simply don’t tell my friends from work how I spent my time on vacation. It’s a waste of nerves. Why do Poles have this nasty trait of rummaging through someone’s wallet? It’s not like I stole the money I used to pay for the trip. . I love Greek cuisine, sometimes we go sightseeing. I usually go to the beach at sunset to look at the views and that’s enough for me. I know many people who, like me, hate going to the beach, having sand in their hair and salt drying on their skin. This does not exclude us from traveling to warm seas. I would like this “war” to end, let’s learn that everyone spends their free time as they want and like – she sums up.
Available research does not clearly indicate whether Poles prefer to relax on the beach or by the hotel swimming pool. .
And you? Do you prefer going to the beach and sightseeing, or do you choose a safe hotel swimming pool?
