Agnieszka Maciąg is dead. The model became famous not only on Polish catwalks
Agnieszka Maciąg became famous in Polish show business as a model, presenter and author of popular books. Many considered her an icon of the 90s. She appeared not only on domestic catwalks, but also at foreign fashion events – including: in New York, Paris, Milan and Berlin. She has collaborated with respected brands, e.g. Lagerfeld Whether Cerruti.
Maciąg was the author of several books. In her literary work, she mainly touched on topics related to spirituality and health. The screen appeared, among others: in the series “Nanny”as well as the film “Surf Time”. She also hosted an entertainment program “Seven Temptations”in which she interviewed artists, musicians and athletes.
Agnieszka Maciąg was an icon of the 90s. The model appeared in many De Mono music videos and tried her hand at music herself.
Few, however, remember that Agnieszka Maciąg also tried her hand at music. In 1996 she released an album “Marrakesh 5:30”which was her high-profile entry into another industry.
In the 1990s, the model also collaborated with other music stars, who willingly hired her for their music videos. Team DeMono hailed her as his muse – Maciąg appeared in as many as six of the band’s videos (for songs “Lights and Cameras”, “The Last Kiss”, “You’re With Me Again”, “Stone and Velvet”, “2 A.M.” and “Everything is for sale”). Once she even appeared on stage with him Andrzej Krzywy and his bandmates, supporting their performance at the Sopot festival.
“We met by a complete accident, when the days of the Zic Zac company, owned by De Mono musicians, were organized. One of the employees from Zic Zac, Paweł Maciąg, took his wife on this trip and that’s how we met Agnieszka. A complete accident. Our friendship and fascination reached such a point that we decided that maybe she would perform with us at a concert during our performance in Sopot. We sang a new number called ‘Painted with flowers’ and Agnieszka said: ‘Okay, cool, I’ll perform, no problem. Only I don’t have any dress, especially one with flowers.’ So one of the employees went with Agnieszka and they quickly went to buy a dress with flowers,” recalls Andrzej Krzywy in an interview with Plejada.
Just after the unpleasant news that spread around the Internet, the singer revealed in an interview with Plejada how he remembers Agnieszka. “A wonderful, wonderful, modest person. One of the most interesting and beautiful Polish models. And yet, at the same time, she somehow retained this great modesty and humility. And we worked together wonderfully because, as I say, he is a fantastic person. So despite the difference in height, because there was a lot between us, we always had great joy and pleasure in meetings and at work,” confessed De Mono’s frontman.
Agnieszka Maciąg was ill in the past
Privately, the model was the wife of photographer Robert Wolański. Previously she was associated with Paweł Maciąg. She raised two children – a son Michael and daughter Helena.
In the past, the model struggled with cancer. In March 2025, she informed her fans that her health problems had returned. She then withdrew from the media space to undergo treatment.
