Photographer Robert Wolański, Agnieszka Maciąg’s life partner, announced on November 27 in a touching entry about the death of his beloved wife.
“Today my Sun went out. The light that changed my life. It gave me Love, Strength, Faith and Trust. The light that shed light on our common path. Our meaning of life. Our home and place on earth. The light that gave the miracle of birth,” we read in the entry.
“Now you are the Light. Be free because you have always loved Freedom. I will always see your eyes full of Love. Your joy and the Fullness of Life will always live in me,” added the deceased’s husband.
The model, writer and actress has been struggling with a serious illness for a long time. In March, she announced that her cancer had returned and withdrew from public life.
Agnieszka Maciąg started her modeling career in 1989. It was then that she won a competition organized by the New York Wilhelma agency. She appeared on the biggest catwalks in the world and worked for renowned designers. Her portfolio includes names such as Karl Lagerfeld, Nino Cerruti, Laura Biagiotti, Pierre Cardin and Claude Montana.
She also fulfilled herself as a writer. Her work focused on topics related to spirituality and health. She appeared in several music videos and even got a few acting jobs. She appeared in the series “Niania”, and in 2005 she appeared in the Polish comedy “Surfers’ Time”. Agnieszka Maciąg also created her own solo album “Marakesz 5:30”.
From her relationship with Paweł Maciąg, she had a son, Michał. She has been associated with photographer Robert Wolański for three decades. The couple had a daughter, Helena.
