“Acolyte”: The showrunner reveals how many seasons she wants to film. “It's a dream job”

New Disney+ series has great potential to become something original in the popular series and film world of “Star Wars”. “Andor” and “Ahsoka” met viewers' expectations much more than “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. “The Acolyte”, a production that will present events that took place a hundred years before “The Phantom Menace”, can offer creators a lot of space to tell new stories, and a lot of good entertainment for the viewers.

For now, we are waiting for the premiere of the first season, but the showrunner of the series, Leslye Headland, already has plans for the next ones. She would like to make at least three series.

“This is my dream job,” he says in an interview with Collider. “I say three seasons because I hope they will let me make thembut if I could just snap my fingers, then this would be my job until I retire. I can't imagine better creative work than on 'Star Wars'. I don't have to do anything else.”

The action of “Star Wars: Acolyte” begins one hundred years before the events of “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.” It will tell the story of a former Padawan who, together with her former master, tries to solve the mystery of mysterious crimes. It turns out that there are sinister forces behind them.

The main roles were played by Amandla Stenberg (“The Hate U Give”, “Bodies, Bodies, Bodies”) and Lee Jung-jae (“Squid Game”). We will also see Manny Jacinto (“The Good Place”) on screen, Dafne Keen (“Logan: Wolverine”) and Carrie-Anne Moss (“The Matrix”). Joonas Suotamo, who played Chewbacca in the recent films, will play the Wookie Jedi Master.

The premiere of the series “Acolyte” is scheduled for June 5.
