On February 7, 2026, a memorial concert will be held at Spodek in Katowice Michał “Joka” Marten. Event “Tribute to Joka” is organized by Marcin “AbradAba” Martenwith whom the rapper co-founded the group Caliber 44. The musician recently appeared on “Dzień Dobry TVN”, where he talked about the party and how he was coping after his brother’s death.
How does AbradAb remember Joka?
Talking to Agata ZjawińskaMarcin Marten revealed that despite many months of mourning, he does not realize that he has lost his older brother: “Even though half a year has passed, it is difficult for me to get used to this thought. Apart from the fact that I dream about it every day, it is around me all the time. From the simplest things, such as the wallpaper on the laptop, to situations in which I think every now and then what he would say. I am still getting used to it.”
The rapper stated that he often argued with Joka, but thanks to their close relationship, they always managed to find appropriate solutions: “There was never an agreement, but in the end we always reached an agreement. The fact that we were brothers always took precedence over all other things, because we had a certain organic trust in each other.”
The musician also revealed details of the upcoming “Tribute to Joka” concert. According to AbradAba, such an event had to be created: “I believe that with all the people who will come here, we will do something completely unique. I think we will do it nicely, with dignity and as it should be. (…) I would like people to come to celebrate – in a colorful way, with their hands up, with smiles, with open hearts, to have fun, to pay tribute to him with smiles, applause and noise. It is not supposed to be a wake.”
