“The Fugitive” from 1987 was based on the novel by Stephen King, published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman in 1979. It showed the dark world of the future. The main character was Ben Richards, the father of a seriously ill girl. A desperate man takes part in a macabre television program to raise money for her treatment. The winner will receive a valuable prize, while the losers will meet a brutal end.
Arnold Schwarzenegger played Richards in Paul Michael Glaser's film. AT Wright the hero will be played by Glen Powell, who has recently had his five minutes in Hollywood. The film recently hit theaters “Just Not You”in which he starred alongside Sydney Sweeney.
The Polish premiere will take place on May 17 “Hit Man” Richard Linklater. Powell not only played the main role in it, but also wrote the script together with the director. On July 19, we will see him in “Twisters”the sequel to the 1996 tornado disaster film.
The new “The Fugitive” will be produced by Paramount Pictures. Powell's casting was announced during CinemaCon, which took place in Las Vegas from April 8 to 11, 2024. Apart from that, nothing was revealed about the departing show. The film has no set release date yet.
