The gala took place on February 13 Empik bestsellerswhere awards were presented to artists who largely contributed to the enrichment of Polish culture and art last year.
The entire event was broadcast on YouTube, as well as on TVN, which began broadcasting an hour later.
The awards ceremony was honored by performances by popular Polish performers. Artists such as: Daria Zawiałow, Kortez, Kwiat Jabłoni, Monika Brodka and Daria from Silesia.
Zawiałow performed two songs from her latest album “Pop girl”. At the very beginning she presented a single “With you at the cottage”, and a moment later she sang “Fifi Hollywood”.
And during the production of the second number, unexpected problems appeared. For some reason, the guests present at the gala suddenly heard only a piece of playback. It was the production’s fault, and the artist herself did not hide her surprise at this turn of events.
“Well, there was a chorus and a loop. Such things happen, we are live,” she commented. However, this was not the end of her problems. However, this was not the end of the problems. When Zawiałow interrupted for the second time, she said: “Dear, it’s the same situation again. (…) Maybe we won’t perform anymore or we’ll play only guitars?”
Ultimately, the singer started without any problems the third time, and the audience rewarded her with applause. After the gala, the singer commented on the whole situation on Instagram. “There’s nothing like live performances hehe,” she concluded.
The singer said a little more on her Instagram story. “It was an interesting evening, there were some technical problems, but I think that somehow we managed. Thank you for being with us. Thanks for all your comments, thanks for your support,” she said.
Empik Bestsellers are awards that have been awarded to the most popular creators in Poland for over two decades. The winners of the statuettes are people with high achievements in categories such as: literature, music or film.
This year the winners included: Depeche Mode, Kortez and Taco Hemingway, who triumphed in musical categories. She received the award in the fiction literature category Catherine Nosowska.
