A film about Celine Dion and her illness. The release date is already known

At the end of 2022 on the Instagram account Celine Dion there was a sad confession. The artist revealed that she suffers from the so-called stiff man syndrome. It is a very rare neurological disorder for which no effective cure has been found yet. Since then, her sister has informed about the Canadian star's health condition on social media. Now the star's fans will be able to hear about the disease from the point of view of Celine Dion herself and learn more details about her struggles.

“I Am: Celine Dion” is a documentary film directed by an Oscar nominee Irene Taylor. It will be available on the website Amazon Prime Video from June 25. The production includes exclusive, intimate interviews, previously unseen footage and recordings of Celine Dion's private moments. It is supposed to be a kind of letter that the artist sends to her fans to get closer to them. The incurable disease distanced her from her listeners, preventing her from giving concerts and changing her life. It is also intended to be a letter to music, which is the foundation of the artist's life and fight against the disease. “It's a raw, intimate portrait of an artist who finds herself at a turning point in her life,” says the boss MGM Studios Jennifer Salke defined the work.

Celine Dion hopes that her documentary will increase public awareness of her rare disease. The star noted that she decided to talk about her struggles on camera to support other patients. “The last few years have been a huge challenge for me, a journey from detecting the disease to learning how to live with it and deal with it – but not for it to define me. During the break from stage performances, I realized how much I miss for my fans. So I decided to document this part of my life to bring comfort to those who received a similar diagnosis,” the singer said in a statement published on her official website.
