84-year-old Brian De Palma announces another film

“I’m planning to make another film. We’re currently casting. Until we do it, I can’t tell you what it’s going to be about. I’ll be very happy when I finally announce it,” he said. De Palma.

The director’s last film, “Domino”, premiered in 2019. The creator of “The Black Dahlia” then started working on two new projects. “Sweet Vengeance” was supposed to be shot in Spain. In turn, “Predator” was inspired by the Harvey Weinstein case.

Both announced films had ready scripts and financing secured. Unfortunately, due to the events of 2020, they were canceled. De Palma did not suggest that the film announced in an interview with Vulture would be a return to any of these ideas.

De Palma is one of the filmmakers who emerged in Hollywood in the 1970s, along with Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola and Martin Scorsese. He became famous thanks to thrillers referring to the works of Alfred Hitchcock.

His most important works include “Carrie”, “Dressed to Kill”, “Scarface”, “The Intouchables”, “Casualties of War”, “Carlito’s Life” and “Mission: Impossible”.
