One Piece: 5 Naruto Characters Luffy Could Beat In A Fight (and 5 He Couldn’t)

Luffy has faced numerous challenges in his journey of One Piece; however, there are some Naruto warriors he cannot defeat.

Who is Luffy?

Monkey D. Luffy is the leading character of the manga and anime series One Piece. He is also known as “Straw Hat Luffy” and simply “Straw Hat.” Luffy, born in Foosha Village, mistakenly ate the Gomu Gomu no Mi when he was seven years old, transforming his body into rubber.

He met “Red-Haired” Shanks, who gave Luffy the identical Straw Hat that has become Luffy’s trademark item as part of a promise to meet again someday. He is the originator and leader of the feared and powerful Straw Hat Pirates and their most skilled fighters.

His life goal has always been to become the Pirate King by locating the legendary fortune the late Gol D. Roger left. He believes that being the Pirate King includes having the most freedom in the world.

The Naruto universe is full of fearsome ninjas with a variety of talents. While Luffy has defeated many great warriors in the One Piece manga, many ninjas in Naruto are too powerful for him.
Let’s have a look at all of them:

Characters Luffy can Beat:

1. Tsunade

Tsunade is a crucial supporting character in the Naruto and Boruto anime series. She is the Hidden Leaf Village’s Fifth Hokage and Legendary Sannin. After the war, she withdrew as a Hokage, and Kakashi Hatake succeeded her as the Sixth Hokage.

While Tsunade is a strong fighter, Luffy’s gears allow him to match her strength, and his Observation Haki will enable him to escape any strikes she throws his. Tsunade can’t injure Luffy because his rubber body is resilient to blunt force trauma.

2. Jiraiya

Jiraiya, a Naruto universe supporting character, is commonly known as Perverted Hermit or Pervy Sage. He was a renowned Sannin of Konohagakure, like Tsunade and Orochimaru, both taught by the Third Hokage.

Jiraiya’s summons outnumbers Luffy’s, but Luffy’s Haoshoku Haki can wipe out vast crowds in seconds, leaving Jiraiya’s summons ineffectual. Luffy has always been able to hold his own against opponents larger and more potent than Jiraiya and his summons, so he should be able to handle whatever Jiraiya throws at him.

3. Mighty Guy

The guy is the son of Might Duy, who was regarded as the “Eternal Genin” throughout Konoha. Duy was unconcerned with his nickname and was pleased that others cared enough to know him at all. Duy instilled in Guy the same type of optimism and his belief that youth is eternal and that they could both become taijutsu masters through rigorous study.

Mighty Guy is powerful enough to destroy Luffy; he can only retain this power for a brief time it burns his body to ash. Luffy’s superior speed and Observation Haki enable him to keep Guy at bay long enough for him to reach his limit.

4. Konan

Konan was an Amegakure kunoichi and a founding member of the first Akatsuki. Following Yahiko’s death, she was partnered with Nagato, who had gained control of Akatsuki and was the only member to address him by his given name. Konan defected from Akatsuki after Nagato’s death and became the de facto village chief of Amegakure.

Konan’s strikes are too sluggish to tag Luffy, especially when the Straw Hat’s Observation Haki, which allows him to see into the future, is factored in. Even if Konan did land a strike, Luffy’s rubber body has endured more intense explosions and abuse than Konan’s, making it doubtful she can harm him.

5. Kisame

Kisame Hoshigaki, also known as the Monster of the Hidden Mist, was a shinobi from the Hoshigaki Clan of Kirigakure. He became an S-rank missing-nin after joining the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and was teamed with Itachi Uchiha after the latter joined Akatsuki.

Kisame is one of Akatsuki’s most powerful members, but Luffy’s Gear Fourth would allow him to match Kisame’s strength. Kisame’s water jutsu would disclose Luffy’s water weakness, ut he’d have to submerge half of Luffy’s body in water to do so, and Luffy is too fast for Kisame to catch. Not to mention that Luffy was pitted against Hody Jones, who resembled Kisame.

Characters Luffy can’t Beat:

1. Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is a shinobi from Konohagakure’s Uzumaki clan. He became the jinchriki of the Nine-Tails on the day he was born, a fate that made the majority of Konoha loathe him.

Naruto’s ability to generate shadow clones allows him to overwhelm Luffy in a variety of ways, and his Bijuu Bombs would wipe both Luffy and the country they’re fighting in off the map. Naruto, like Sasuke, is a skilled strategist capable of devising sophisticated battle techniques on the fly, making it quite probable that he would outwit Luffy.

2. Sakura Haruno

Sakura Uchiha is a Konohagakure kunoichi. When Sakura is assigned to Team 7, she immediately realizes she is unprepared for the responsibilities of a shinobi. However, after training by Sannin Tsunade, she overcomes this and is recognized as one of the world’s best medical-nin.
Luffy’s body is resistant to blunt force harm but not immune, as Kaido and Rob Lucci’s punches illustrate.
Sakura is now stronger than everyone else in One Piece, so there’s no reason to believe her fists wouldn’t deal the same level of damage.

3. Madara Uchiha

Madara Uchiha was the legendary leader of the Uchiha clan. He formed Konohagakure with his boyhood friend and competitor, Hashirama Senju, to usher in a new age of peace. When the two couldn’t create stability, they fought for control of the village, which resulted in Madara’s death.

Madara can wield the Rinnegan to take away Luffy’s soul or lock him under a global illusion via the Human Path. As Juubi Madara, he can utilize the Truth-Seeking Orbs, which destroy anything they come into contact with on a molecular level, making it the ideal weapon for destroying Luffy’s rubber body.

4. Kaguya Otsutsuki

Kaguya Tsutsui was a member of the Tsutsui clan and the matriarch of a branch family that included Hagoromo and Hamura. Long before the secret villages were established, Kaguya ate the fruit of the God Tree and became the first user of chakra on Earth, later combining with the tree to form the Ten-Tails.

Kaguya holds the Rinne Sharingan, an eye that allows her to conduct the Infinite Tsukuyomi, a worldwide genjutsu from which Luffy cannot escape. She may also use her Ash-Killing Ash Bones to turn Luffy’s rubber body into ash.

5. Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha is one of Konohagakure’s few remaining Uchiha clan members. After his elder brother, Itachi massacred his clan, Sasuke made it his life’s purpose to avenge them by assassinating Itachi. When he becomes a ninja, he joins Team 7 and begins honing his talents via competition with his competitor and closest friend, Naruto Uzumaki.

Sasuke possesses the Rinnegan, an eye that allows him to use Chibaku Tensei, a technique he uses with a clap of his hands to confine and incapacitate nine Tailed Beasts stronger than Luffy. He may also use Genjutsu to imprison Luffy under an illusion or Human Path to rip out his soul. Most of Sasuke’s techniques would be useless against Luffy.
