Luffy Might Never Surpass These 10 Characters in One Piece

Luffy has progressed significantly throughout the series, but he has yet to reach the level of many of the other characters.

The most well-known manga series of all time is One Piece. It’s been running for more than two decades, and the characters and settings it’s built are immensely rich and beautiful. Monkey D. Luffy is the most popular character in the series. However, just because he is the most popular character in the manga doesn’t mean he will triumph over all of the other characters.

He may be the Pirate King of the future, but other characters stay at such a high level that he will never be able to overtake them. Of course, being powerful isn’t always the case; sometimes it’s about accomplishments, personality, and qualities.

10. Monkey. D. Dragon: the worst criminal in one piece history

Luffy’s father is the Dragon. He is the commander of the revolutionary army, which is opposed to the corruption of the world government. He’s also the most wanted man on the planet, with a massive price on his head. Monkey D. Dragon is one of One Piece’s most powerful and important characters despite the paucity of information. Luffy’s chances of defeating the Dragon are slim to none because they both oppose the world government.

9. Shanks: Captain of red-haired pirates

One of the four emperors of the sea, Red-Haired Shanks is one of the most powerful and respected figures in the One Piece universe. During his fight with Whitebeard, fans got a taste of his strength. During the fight, he also prevented Kaido from attacking the Marineford. He can organize secret meetings with Gorosei, the world government’s leaders, and can end the greatest conflict in One Piece history simply by turning there. Nobody knows how powerful and influential he is.

8. Dr. Vegapunk: the epitome of intelligence

One of the most enigmatic characters in the One Piece franchise is Vegapunk.
He is the “Most Intelligent Person in One Piece,” a scientist who works for the world government. He is well known for discovering the lineage factor, and his experiments were at least 700 years ahead of their time. Apart from being a genius, he appears to be a pleasant individual who refuses to do research utilizing horrible methods. Luffy, who isn’t known for his intelligence, will never be able to match the ideal of intelligence.

7. Sengoku: Buddha of the marines

Sengoku is the former Fleet Admiral of the Navy and one of the most formidable characters in One Piece. Sengoku is recognized as one of the most strong Marines, alongside Garp. He may appear to be old now, yet he is a beast that currently serves as the organization’s General Inspector. During Roger’s reign, he was a key figure in the Marines, which means his knowledge was superior to that of the majority of pirates. Luffy is unlikely to overtake Sengoku, even with all of his exploits and ranks.

6. Rocks D. Xebec: Captain Of Legendary Pirate Group

Legendary pirate Rocks D. Xebec is one of the most powerful characters in the One Piece universe. Long before the Great Pirate Era, he gathered the best on the island of Hachinosu to form the Rock Pirates, an unequaled company. Whitebeard, Kaido, Big Mom, Shiki, and other formidable pirates were among his crew. Because he was so powerful, Garp and Gol D. Roger joined forces to fight the Rocks pirates, which became known as the “Incident of the God Valley.”

5. Gol D. Roger: the pirate king

Gol D. Roger is the only pirate to cross all oceans and reach Laugh Tale, the final island. During his execution, he was the one who started the great pirate age. He possessed everything: fortune, celebrity, and power. The titular One Piece is the name of his treasure. The Pirate King, as one might guess, has the largest bounty of any pirate in history, totaling 5,564,800,000 berries. Luffy has yet to surpass Gol D. Roger in his quest to become the next pirate king.

4. Joy Boy: the legendary character of one piece

Joy Boy is the character who left One Piece on Laugh Tale Island.
He is a legendary character who used to live 800 years ago. He was a well-known individual during the Void Century, and he is expected to arrive in Wano soon, according to what is known about him. With his final breath, Oden commanded his nine red scabbards to open Wano’s border in preparation for Joy Boy’s arrival. With the Joy Boy still shrouded in mystery, Luffy is unlikely to catch up to him.

3. Silvers Rayleigh: First Mate Of The Pirate King

He is the former right-hand man of Gol D. Roger, the Pirate King. He is renowned as the “Dark King Rayleigh” and is a specialist in all three Haki, including Observation, Armament, and the rare Conqueror’s Haki. Silvers Rayleigh may appear calm and laid-back at first, but he’s a force to be reckoned with. He was the one who taught Luffy during the time jump, and Luffy is only on the path he is on because of his supervision.

2. Whitebeard: Strongest Man In One Piece World

Edward Newgate, commonly known as Whitebeard, was one of the most well-known pirates to ever sail the seas of One Piece. Whitebeard was a member of the Rocks Pirates, perhaps the most dangerous pirate crew in the world, before being known as the “Strongest Man in the World.” He went on to found the Whitebeard Pirates, which grew to be a formidable force. Whitebeard was one of the sea’s four rulers. His might was so terrifying that marines from all over the world gathered to take him down. In terms of raw power, Luffy may never be able to match him.

1. Monkey D. Garp Is Still A Beast

There are several labels for this vice-admiral, including “Strongest Marine,” “Marine Hero,” and “Garp of the Fist,” but no one in the One Piece universe denies his prowess. He is Luffy’s grandfather and father of Monkey D. Dragon. During the Pirate King’s rule, Garp is claimed to have cornered him multiple times and fought him to a halt. His biggest feat was collaborating with Gol D. Roger to kill the most formidable pirate crew, which included Whitebeard, Kaido, Shiki, Big Mom, and Rocks D. Xebec himself.
