In 2024, the 15th edition was broadcast on TVN “I have a talent”. The popular show has undergone major changes – only the old crew remains on the jury Agnieszka Chylińska. They appeared at her side Julia Wieniawa and Marcin Prokop (previously the host of “Got Talent”). They took over the role of presenters Agnieszka Woźniak-Starak and Jan Pirowski from Radio Eska.
Wieniawa and Prokop replaced the actress Małgorzata Foremniak (she was on the jury from the very beginning, i.e. 2008) and a dancer Jan Kliment.
“Got Talent” debuted in Poland on September 13, 2008. The first jury consisted of: Agnieszka Chylińska, Małgorzata Foremniak and Kuba Wojewódzki (he replaced him in the fourth season Robert Kozyra).
In the first edition of the program, the main prize to be won was PLN 100,000. euro, in the following seasons it was decided that it would be 300,000. zlotys.
The first participant in Polish history “I have a talent” left Patrick Texas. The man, signed as a entertainer (he still calls himself an Internet and Hollywood star), started his audition boldly.
“I am very pleased to perform here, it is a great honor for me, in front of such a great jury. Big applause for the jury, ladies and gentlemen,” he said. “Hello Patryk, we’ll see how you say goodbye to us after your performance,” Chylińska replied.
The participant decided on the song “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias. “I know that the capital’s audience loves American show business stars, so for a moment we will feel like we are at an awards show. Grammys” – he said, not paying attention to the fact that Iglesias is Spanish.
The first ever performance of “Got Talent” didn’t go very well. Wojewódzki pressed the red button to interrupt. “As far as I know, Iglesias is already calling his lawyers,” the juror said maliciously.
“Patryk, I closed my eyes because your manner is so irritating, all the glitz and glitter was falling out, so I closed them not to look at you, but to listen to you. And I must admit that, apart from the fact that you are terribly fake, “There’s a very nice timbre in your voice and you’re material for a vocalist,” she summed up his performance Agnieszka Chylińska.
“Are you serious? Patryk, you sing like you have teeth in your pocket. I’m begging you,” Wojewódzki blurted out.
“Agnieszka said very wise things. To you, to Patryk. Not to a showman, but to a human being,” Foremniak concluded.
ABOUT Patrick Texas it was loud on the Internet a few more times. In the following years he performed in “X Factor”, “Disco Star”, “You Can Dance” and “Must Be The Music”.
In 2014, he sued KFC because he believed its employees mocked his name. “The behavior of the restaurant staff in my client’s eyes was mocking him. The staff mocked the similarity between the name of the sandwich and his surname,” he claimed.
In 2023 he appeared on Top of The Top Festival in Sopot, where he was dressed as Elvis. From the stage, he mentioned his famous performance in “Got Talent”. “I exist thanks to TVN, because (…) I was the first participant in the first episode, the first edition of ‘Got Talent’,” he said.
