Tony McFarr has died. He was Chris Pratt's stunt double

“I am devastated by the news of the death of my friend and former stunt double. We made several films together. We played golf, drank whiskey, smoked cigars and spent many hours on set. I will never forget his bravery,” Pratt wrote.

“I remember he once took a terrible hit to the head (in a sequence in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2') and they had to give him a few stitches – he was right back to work and working. He was outstanding. He was always a gentleman and a professional.” he continued.

“I will never forget him. My prayers go to his friends and family, especially his daughter,” he concluded.

McFarr was Pratt's understudy in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” two installments of the “Jurassic World” franchise and the 2016 melodrama “Passengers.”

McFarr's death was first reported by TMZ. The man died unexpectedly in his home. The cause of death is not yet known.
