Laura Samojłowicz she was a star “M like love”and in 2009 she won the show “How They Sing”. She also performed at the Sopot TOPtrendy festival in a duet with Irena Jarocka. She also recorded vocal parts for the series “Czas honoru” and “Hotel 52” (with the band Funky Trip Foundation).
He also participated in the music video “List” (with the actor Mikołaj Krawczyk) rock group Chemistrywhich was inspired by the series “Mission Afghanistan”.
At some point, Samojłowicz quit her career and left Poland. She was remembered during the Actor's Song Festival in Wrocław in 2015 (she reached the finals of the competition, singing, among others, “Singapore” by Tom Waits, translated by Roman Kołakowski). This year she also recorded a cover of Hozier's “Take Me to Church” in support of the Rak'n'Roll Foundation.
The actress appeared in the sixth edition in 2015 “The Voice of Poland” and sang the famous ballad “Stairway to Heaven” Led Zeppelin.
The coaches at that time – Edyta Górniak, Tomson and Baron, Maria Sadowska and Edyta Górniak – however, they did not turn their seats, and Samojłowicz quickly said goodbye to the program.
“Well, there was something to it…” Sadowska began after her performance. “I know what it was about – a very nice piano performance!” – replied Górniak. “It should have been sung nicely!” – commented the guys from Afromental.
Samojłowicz's performance caused quite a stir among the audience. Some people did not hide their surprise that the actress did not make it to the next stage. There were also a lot of negative comments about the song selection. According to the commentators, the participant made a mistake by choosing such a difficult to interpret number.
“'Stairway…' is one of the songs of monuments that should not be sung during blind auditions. Because you can either sing it exceptionally well or it's better not to sing it at all.”
“The question remains why she chose such a hopeless song, in which there was no opportunity to show her talent and voice? She committed hara-kiri before she started singing by choosing the song,” one could read under her performance.
In 2018 Laura Samojłowicz she returned to acting in TV series. She appeared in the production of “Ślad”, then received a role in “Policemen and Policewomen”, where she continues to play to this day. In 2021 and 2022, she appeared in “M jak Miłość” again. She also appeared in the TV series “Cops” for a year.
In 2023, she appeared in salons again and was seen at an event of the jewelry brand and Tomasz Ossoliński. In the fall of the same year, she became famous again on television. Samojłowicz she applied for a casting for the program “Top Model”.
