Supergroup The Smileconsisting of legendary musicians Radiohead – Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood – and co-creators of Sons of Kemet, Tom Skinnerwas to play in Poland on August 14, at the Progresja Summer Stage.
He was supposed to play the support role James Holden – British producer and DJ who has supported Tom Yorke’s other projects on stage many times. The tour started in March and promoted the album released in January “Wall Of Eyes”.

Now, however, the band has delivered some sad news to their fans – their August European tour has had to be cancelled due to Jonny Greenwood’s illness.
“A few days ago, Jonny became seriously ill with an infection that required hospital treatment, including intensive care. Fortunately, the danger is over and he will return home soon. Jonny’s doctors have advised to cancel all planned events until he fully recovers. For this reason, the August European tour has been canceled,” they said.
Comments were quickly filled with words of support. “Do what you have to do. I don’t want to live on a planet without Jonny,” “Terrible wake-up call. Get well soon Jonny,” “Get well soon – your genius and contribution to the world of music is essential,” fans wrote.
