Waleria (Ewa Ziętek) will confess to Basia that she is still thinking about Stefan.
– It's been exactly a year. It's hard to believe – says Grzelakowa.
– I should be at his grave today, lighting a candle, but I'm so far away, so many kilometers – sighs Górka's widow and adds that she has been tormented by remorse since the morning.
“I feel like I left him,” she whispers.
Basia will hug her and after a moment of silence she will begin to explain that the heart knows no distances.
A few minutes later, Czesław (Marian Jaskulski), who was invited to an evening of memories about Stefan, will knock on the door of Basia's house. Waleria will hug him as a greeting, which the man will accept as… a sign of peace.
Immediately after Zarzeczny, Górka's other friends will appear. Basia will seat the guests at the table, serve tea and several types of cakes.
– Thank you for coming. That you are. And that we can always count on you. “For a family,” Kasia begins, but her voice catches in her throat with emotion.
– Sometimes this family shrinks, but it exists – Waleria smiles, and then unexpectedly asks Czesław to share with everyone a personal memory about the man to whom he gave his own daughter to raise.
– Our history is not very happy – says Zarzeczny.
Zdzisio (Zbigniew Buczkowski) will suggest that he not talk about sad things and tell something cheerful. Czesław will remember how he and Stefan hitchhiked to Bory Tucholskie many years ago, when they were both still very young.
– I can already guess what you were doing there – laughs Tolek (Marek Siudym).
It turns out that Stefan saved Pohulanka – the village where they stayed – from burning.
– I hope that no one from this Pohulanka will come to us again, like from France – Waleria will joke and tell Czesław about Górka's daughter, who was found after many years and appeared in Poland one day.
During the meeting, which lasts several hours, each participant will share their fondest memories of Stefan with the others. Ksawery (Bartosz Gruchot) will listen to them with great interest, constantly demanding more stories.
– Can I stay here overnight? – he will ask Kasia, and she will agree to leave him in the care of Waleria and Basia.
Shortly after Kaśka returns home, someone suddenly starts banging on the door of her apartment. Sadowska opens the door and sees Mariusz.
– You shouldn't be alone today – the man whispers and, without waiting for an invitation, goes inside.
– It's true – Kasia sighs.
– I don't feel like being alone – he will add.
– I won't let you be alone – he will hear.
Mariusz will suddenly start kissing her…
We reveal that the farmer will spend the whole night at Sadowska's, and in the morning he will tell her that he would like to wake up next to her every morning. Will Kasia let him into her life for longer?
