The best Polish Eurovision song has been selected. Who won?

A few days ago, exactly 30 years passed since Poland's debut at Eurovision. In 1994 it was Edyta Górniak represented the country in the competition. She then performed the song in Dublin “It was not me!”from her debut album “Touch”. She scored 166 points and took second place in the final. She lost to the representatives of Ireland – Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan – who performed the song “Rock 'n' Roll Kids” and they scored 60 points more. So far, no Polish representative has managed to beat Edyta's result. The team came closest to it Three of themwhich took seventh place in the Eurovision 2003 final.

On the occasion of Poland's 30th anniversary at Eurovision, the portal Eurowizja.org organized a plebiscite for the best song that has so far represented our country. From 1994 to 2023, as many as 26 songs from Poland took part in the competition. It started with Edyta Górniak in Dublin, by Donatana and Cleo in Copenhagen, until Blanches in Liverpool. For some songs, Eurovision turned out to be a springboard to fame, but for others it did not necessarily end well.

The voting organized by Eurowizja.org was divided into three parts. In one of them, the jurors were professional Eurovision journalists. In the second stage, the performances were assessed by the community Association of Lovers of the Eurovision Song Contest OGAE Polska. The third part of the voting took into account the audience gathered on the Eurowizja.org website and in the group Warsaw Calling.

In the ranking created by Eurowizja.org journalists, he received the most points Krystian Ochman with his powerful song “River” (check) from 2022. It took second place “Keine Grenzen – No Limits” by Ich Troje, which they performed at Eurovision 2003. Third place belonged to Kasia Moś and her songs “Flashlight” (Look) from 2017

Krystian Ochman also turned out to be the favorite of OGAE Polska. The song came second in the association's voting Anna Maria Jopek from 1997 “But I am”. She closed the podium Justyna Steczkowska with a song “Alone”with which the artist represented Poland in 1995.

Internet users voted as many as 9,340 votes. It turned out to be the best Polish Eurovision song according to the fans of the competition “Color Of Your Life” by Michał Szpak from 2016. Krystian Ochman appeared in the ranking again – this time he took second place. Third in line were Donatan and Cleo with a song “We Slavic – We Are Slavic”which caused much controversy in 2014.

The Eurowizja.org editorial team published the final ranking on its website, which included all 26 Polish Eurovision songs.
