Sarah James (Look!) is one of the most popular young artists in Poland. After participating in Junior Eurovision 2021as well as gaining great publicity in the American “I have a talent” a year later, her career does not stand still. In the USA, she was preparing material for her debut album.
In 2023, the singer released songs “Bloodline”, “Hula Hoop”, “Ctrl Alt Del”, “Brighter Day” (With Ben Cristovao) and “The whole world is passing me by today” (duet with rapper Szczylem).
At the end of February, a new song premiered “Blue”, which was recorded in three versions. In one he sings solo and in the others with two different guests. One version of “Blue” was created with the participation of a Belgian vocalist Berreand the second one was recorded with a Swedish singer LOVA.
Now the less than 16-year-old presents a number that is extremely personal to her “I Tell Everyone About You” (check!).
“The song is about my wonderful grandmother who is no longer with me. It is my memory that will remain in my heart forever and the feelings that accompany me along my journey. I wanted to record this song because my grandmother was one of the most important people in my life and thanks to her I am the person I am. This song is a bit of a souvenir. Something that will be ours and common forever,” says Sara James.
“I made the song in LA with the producer John Samuel, which my listeners may already recognize – we did 'Blue' and 'Ctrl Alt Del' together. That day I had no set idea about the song. It came very naturally to me,” he adds.
The mentioned grandmother was from the singer's mother's side – Arleta Dancewicz. Sarah's father – JohnJamesTV participant “Voice Battles” in team Meza – comes from Nigeria.
On Instagram you can see archival recordings of little Sara and her grandmother. The singer's fans do not hide their emotion. “So sweet,” she wrote Maja Krzyżewskarepresentative of Poland at Junior Eurovision 2023. “Greatness,” he adds Igor Herbutwho is Sara's manager.
Let us add that the concert premiere of “I Tell Everyone About You” took place during the Next Fest festival in Poznań. Currently, the teenager continues working on her debut album.
Despite her young age (she will be 16 this year), Sara has achieved many successes that her older colleagues in the industry can only dream of. Recently she has won Fryderyk for Phonographic Debut of the Year and made her debut on the stage of the Forest Opera in Sopot during Polsat SuperHit Festival 2023.
She won the show before “The Voice Kids”and also took second place in Junior Eurovision 2021. Appearance in the American edition “I have a talent” with a song “Rocket Man” it became a viral thing that quickly spread around the Internet. A famous juror of this show Simon Cowell he decided to take Sara under his wing.
– This is something that I don't understand a little about myself and often you just have to pinch me because it is something beautiful and amazing and never in my life, if someone had asked me 2 years ago if I could do such wonderful things as what I do now is to give people joy, record songs and see smiles on the faces of people who come to these concerts and these views and all that.
