Including those invited, the American Motion Picture Academy will have 10,910 members. Of those who joined this year, 56% come from outside the United States.
This year’s winner was invited from among the actors Da’Vine Joy Randolph (“Winter Solstice”), nominated Danielle Brooks (“The Color Purple”), Sandra Hüller (“Anatomy of a Fall”, “Zone of interests”) and Lily Gladstone (“Blood Moon Time”), as well as Jessica Alba, Tia Carrere, Jason Clarke, Greta Lee, Koji Yakusho and Fiona Shaw, among others.
Among the invited directors were Fede Álvarez, Alice Diop, Celine Song (“Past Life”), Justine Triet (“Anatomy of a Fall”) and David Yates.
Two Polish women also joined the Academy. These are Małgorzata Karpiuk (responsible for costumes in “Aida” and “Strefa biznes”) and Magdalena Górka (camera director of “Jack Strong” and “Kurier”).
