The series will tell you how Penguin (Colin Farrell) climbed to the very top of Gotham City’s criminal underworld. The action is to take place a week after the events of Matt Reeves’ film. The Penguin, or Oswald Cobblepot, is one of Batman’s most famous opponents. His inherent attributes are a top hat, a monocle and a set of deadly umbrellas. So far, his role has been played by such actors as Danny DeVito, Burgess Meredith and Robin Lord Taylor.
In addition to Colin Farrell, we will also see: Cristin Milioti (as Sofia Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Clancy Brown (gangster Salvatore Maroni). The cast of “Penguin” is completed by: Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, Carmen Ejogo, François Chau and David H. Holmes. The showrunner and scriptwriter is Lauren LeFranc (“Chuck”, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), and the producers include Matt Reeves and Dylan Clark, as well as the Warner Bros. studio.
Max published a new two-minute trailer for “Penguin”, which will consist of eight episodes. “I’m in charge here” – we hear from the titular Penguin from the first seconds of the announcement. The premiere of the highly anticipated series is scheduled for September.
