Second season “Night receptionist” will take place eight years after the events of the first series. Plot details are being kept secret.
In addition to Hiddleston and Coleman, Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles.

The titular night receptionist, Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston), works in a hotel in Cairo, in the middle of the events of the Arab Spring. There he meets a beautiful woman named Sophie, who gives him secret information about a transaction related to the supply of weapons that could influence the fate of the entire uprising.
It turns out that the person behind the smuggling is a famous businessman, Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie). From then on, the fates of Pine and Roper intertwine, only to intersect again a few years later in Zurich. Intelligence agent Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) leads her own battle against a wealthy man involved in arms trafficking, who entrusts Pine with the task of unmasking Roper’s illegal activities. The first season premiered in 2016. Hiddleston, Laurie and Coleman received Golden Globes for their roles.
