“Midsummer. In broad daylight” it's mesmerizing psychological thriller, which takes viewers right into the heart of the Swedish Midsummer Festival. The film follows the story of a young American woman, Dani, who, together with her boyfriend and a group of friends, goes to a remote village in Sweden. They hope for a peaceful holiday and take part in local celebrations, but the idyllic atmosphere quickly turns into disturbing and dark experiences. The festival, full of strange rituals and ceremonies, reveals its true, terrifying face, pushing the characters to the limits of their mental endurance.
Dani plays the main role Florence Pughwhose character goes through an intense emotional journey, struggling with personal tragedies and an increasingly disturbing environment. Jack Reynor plays her boyfriend, Christian, who faces challenges both in his relationship with Dani and when confronted with the secrets of the Swedish festival.
