This year marks 25 years since the release of the debut album of the family group of highlanders from Milówka. From the album simply titled “Golec uOrkiestra 1” come such hits as, among others: “Crazy is my life” and “Binoculars”. The album achieved double platinum status for selling over 200,000 copies.
Now the band has announced the premiere of a new release this fall. The next song released online is the song “Only you” (check!), which was pre-premiered during the Golec jubilee this year Polsat Hit Festival in Sopot at the end of May.
“If you ask yourself why anyone needs another love song, when there have been so many so far, the answer is very simple: because every love is unique. It is no coincidence that most of the songs you know and want to listen to are songs about love. Love is an inexhaustible subject,” the musicians emphasize.
“In creating music for 25 years we have been trying not to follow the beaten path, but to constantly surprise ourselves and the listeners. It is no different in the case of the song ‘Tylko ty’, for which we invited a producer and a DJ – Gromee. Under his watchful eye, the analog sounds of folk instruments such as bagpipes and flutes were clashed with a brass drop based on an electro beat. Thanks to this collaboration, a piece tailored to this summer’s hit was created!” – they add.
In a song Lukasz Golecleader of Golec uOrkiestra, shares his love for the person closest to him – his wife, Edith Golec, who is a vocalist and violist in the Golec uOrkiestra. In Sopot, during the premiere performance of this piece, previously unpublished recordings from the weddings of Łukasz and his brother Paweł Golec could be seen on large screens (Katarzyna Golec is in turn the manager of the group).
