“Gold of the Baltic Sea”: There is a continuation of “Detective Bruno”. Will it be a great success again?

10-year-old Oskar and the famous actor Bruno are planning a joint holiday at the Polish seaside. This is where another detective puzzle awaits them. The treasure hunt will lead through the corners of the Baltic coast: Gdańsk, a city full of legends of adventure and freedom, Sopot, which stimulates the imagination, and Gdynia, which intensifies dreams of distant expeditions.

“We had a great time working in the Tricity. We were enchanted by the architecture, the atmosphere of the cities, but also the best French croissants. The picturesque nature of the beach and the sea are ready frames,” say the directors, Magdalena Nieć and Mariusz Palej. “It’s also a chance to relax after the photos,” they add.

The adventures of the duo are accompanied by girls representing three generations of women: Aunt Maryśka, Inspector Hanna and Oskar’s half-sisters – Patrycja and Kaja. “The Gold of the Baltic” is a wise and charming story about the adventures of two unusual friends, a boy dreamer and a popular actor, with a universal message about the value of the most precious of treasures – true friendship.

“The second part of the film introduces us to the characters surrounding Oskar. The boy’s sisters face many challenges, and the reliable aunt Maryśka tries to tame the eccentric specialist, complete the renovation of the house and not lose any of her children,” says screenwriter Ewa Rozenbajgier.

“Złoto Bałtyku” directed by Magdalena Nieć (“A Dog Who Rode a Railroad”) and Mariusz Palej (“Behind the Blue Door”) will hit cinemas in the first half of 2025. On the screens we will see Piotr Głowacki as Bruno, Oliwier Grzegorzewski as Oskar and debuting Klara Olszewska, playing the role of Patka. The filming set of the film ended a few days ago.

“Working with such a great team of talented people is pure pleasure. The atmosphere on the set was great, we were constantly in a creative atmosphere,” says director Mariusz Palej. “This good energy has a great impact on the final shape of the film,” he adds.
