Because of him, Taylor Swift experienced a nightmare. Scooter Braun ends his career

Scooter Braun has been operating in the music industry for over 20 years. He has collaborated with Ariana Grande, Ava Max, Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber, to whom he offered a contract in 2008. It quickly turned out that the singer achieved global success. He gained the greatest popularity in 2019 due to controversy related to the purchase of music Taylor Swift without her knowledge.

Braun recently announced that he is stepping down from management for the time being. He plans to spend more time with his family, especially his children, and focus on managing his entertainment company, HYBE America. He also revealed that one of her biggest clients and friends intends to “spread his wings and take a new direction”, but he did not say who he was talking about.

In 2019, Taylor Swift announced on her social media that Scooter Braun bought the rights to all her albumswhich she recorded on the Big Machine label.

“I found out that Scooter Braun bought the rights to my music and announced it to the world. All I can think about now is the constant, manipulative intimidation of me for years,” she added and revealed that the manager would do anything to destroy her career.

She then admitted that she wanted to buy her music directly, but was constantly rejected. The entire catalog ended up in Braun’s hands for $330 million.

In November 2019, the star announced that Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta they wanted to prevent her from performing old songs at the gala American Music Awards, where she received the award of the decade. They intended to do the same with these songs in Netflix documentary about Taylor Swift.

“The message sent to me was clear – be a good girl and shut upotherwise you will be punished,” she wrote. The singer called her fans for help, and the appeal was signed by several hundred thousand people. The hashtags #IStandWithTaylor and #TeamSwift appeared on the Internet.

It was only in 2022 that Scooter Braun decided that he would now “do many things differently” and treated the whole situation “as a learning, a lesson in development.”

This whole situation was the reason why the singer decided to record all her albums from scratch. As a result, the manager’s transaction was to become completely unprofitable. Now older records and songs are signed “taylor’s version” and have changed covers. The premiere of the debut album and “Reputation” in Swift versions is still ahead of us.

“I have started the process of re-recording my older music and I already know it will be exciting and creative. I know it will diminish the value of my old songs, but I hope you will understand that this is the only way for me to regain the pride I had in listening to these songs from my first six albums, and also to allow fans to listen to my music without feeling guilty about Scooter’s benefits“- she announced then.

The singer admitted that she was disappointed that loyalty ended when the contract with the manager ended. She did not expect that the buyer would be Braun, although she was aware that the previous label would want to sell the rights to her music.

This is the worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a 15-year contract with someone for whom the term loyalty is only contractual. And when this man says that music has value, it turns out that what he means is that its value is dependent on men who had no part in its creation. When I left my recordings in Scott’s hands, I resigned myself to the fact that he would eventually sell them. However, never in my worst nightmares did I imagine that the buyer would be Scooter,” writes the star.

It cannot be denied that the singer achieved global success despite everything. He is currently performing as part of “The Eras Tour”, which is sold out almost all over the world and has been buzzing about it all over the Internet for months.

A two-episode documentary series about the dramatic situation will be released in June “Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood”.
