“Arcane”: The second season is not the finale of the story. The creators make the matter clear

The action of the nine-episode “Arcane” takes place in the town of Piltover, located in the land of Runeterra. Sisters Vi and Jinx and their companions must face the challenges it brings civil war threatening the inhabitants of Piltover. The three main characters are voiced by: Hailee Steinfeld (“Dickinson”, “Hawkeye”), Ella Purnell (“Fallout”, “Yellowjackets”) and Katie Leung (“Annika”, Cho Chang from the Harry Potter series).

The story of two sisters, Vi (Hailee Steinfeld) and Jinx (Ella Purnell), who fight on opposite sides of the barricade, taking place in the world of “League of Legends”, and at the same time presenting their fate before the events of the game, turned out to be not only a mature story full of nuances with well-characterized characters, it won the hearts of viewers by storm. As announced on Netflix's official social media channels, the second season of the animation will be the finale of the story about the fate of Vi and Jinx. However, this does not mean the end of series from the “League of Legends” game world, which is the basis of the production.

As Christian Linke, co-creator of the series, said, the writers knew from the very beginning what will be the ending of “Arcane”. That's why the story of Vi and Jinx will only last two seasons. However, fans have nothing to worry about, because 'Arcane' is the beginning of a story from the world of the 'League of Legends' game. Riot, the studio responsible for 'LoL', and the Paris-based Fortiche will continue to cooperate and will present other heroes of the epic world known to players in the form of animations. Work on new productions is ongoing, a we can expect the latest information about them at the end of 2024.
